This is part 1 of a flat-coloured custom design commission for 600K on Deviant Art. They were looking for 1-2 Shisa mascots for their US Army unit based out of Okinawa Japan. These were the 2 initial designs (one male and one female) based on their descriptions and visual references.

We wound up going for 1 more cartoonish and friendly design for the final, the result of which you will see in part 2.
